Sant Miquel 2025 Festivities in Gata: tradition, music and gastronomy

September means festival time in Gata de Gorgos, and this year the celebrations in honor of Sant Miquel promise to fill the streets with music, color and joy. From September 26 to 29, the town will host a full program of activities for all audiences, blending tradition with modern shows and gastronomy that delights everyone.

Friday, September 26

The festivities start in the afternoon with bulls from the Els Coves de Pedreguer ranch at Parc Enric Valor. At 9:00 pm, enjoy the coques dinner, organized by the Comissió 2026 (tickets available at Papereria Maite and El Celler). The night closes with the Platino orchestra dance, perfect for dancing under the stars.

 

Saturday, September 27

Saturday begins with the despertà, led by the Comissió 2025 and the quintos and quintas 2025. At midday, Bous a Banda entertained by Lolipop, followed in the afternoon by a children’s gymkhana at Passeig d’Alacant. The afternoon continues with more bulls La Llata, and in the evening, a Grilled meat and sausage dinner with a kids’ menu included. The night ends with the Gravity orchestra dance in the park.

 

Sunday, September 28

Sunday is full of family activities: horse and rider gathering, equestrian shows with Caballos de Ensueño, and Bous a Banda accompanied by Rumbados. Recharge with a popular paella organized by Comissió 2026, while the little ones enjoy carretons by Espectacles L’Afició. The afternoon includes bull recortadores exhibitions and evening dinners with music and DJ for all ages.

Monday, September 29 – Last day of  Sant Miquel’s festivities

The big day starts with the quintos and quintas gathering and culminates with the Solemn mass and procession through the main streets. The finale will be spectacular: fireworks display by Pirotècnia Borredà.

  • Friday: coques (10 €)
  • Saturday: grilled meat and sausages (15 €, kids menu 10 €)
  • Sunday: popular paella (12 €)
