It’s time to celebrate the festivities of San Miguel Arcángel. With them, Gata welcomes autumn by celebrating very fun festive days and with many activities for everyone.
These festivities are named after the patron saint of the local parish church and this year 2022 they will be celebrated from October 28 to 1.

On Wednesday 28 they will start with a Cáritas Dinner in the Plaza de la Iglesia and that will feature a performance by the Rondalla from the Gata Municipal School of Music.
On Thursday the 29th, Sant Miguel’s Day, the Quintos and Quintes will once again show off their costumes and thus revive a little the party from a couple of months ago. At 7:00 p.m. there will be a procession and it will culminate with a fireworks display by the Ricasa pyrotechnics. Later, in the Plaza Nueva there will be a tribute to ABBA.
On Friday the 30th you can enjoy the traditional Raspall Game at the Trinquet Xiquet de Gata. There will be a game for fans between Gata and Pedreguer and at 6:00 p.m. They will make a professional game in charge of the Pilota de Gata club.
At 8:00 p.m. It will open, in the old football field, the Sant Miguel bar in charge of the 2023 festival committee where you can make your beer, have dinner and during the orchestra, which will start at 00:00, it will also have bar service.
Do not miss the Cordà in Moraira street, les Sorts area, which will take place at 10:30 p.m.
On Saturday, October 1, you can enjoy live music from 1:00 p.m. in the old football field of Les Sorts and in the afternoon you can enjoy Carretons and inflatables with lemon water for all the boys and girls.
At 6:30 p.m. The Trobada de Bandes de Música de la Marina Alta will arrive where 19 bands will participate and play through the streets of Gata.
At the end, the commission bar will return to have dinner and end the night with the Etiquette Show Orchestra.
